Dr. Quinn McColly has a unique background that combines practical experience with academic research that has led him to a life in conservation. Quinn earned his PhD in Coastal and Marine System Science at the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. He came to the Harte after a long stint in the world of finance where he made markets on the floor of the Chicago Stock Exchange for a decade before moving laterally into an advisory position in private wealth management. He earned his master's degree at TAMU-CC in Environmental Science. During his undergraduate work at Indiana University and Columbia College, he studied liberal arts with concentrations in environmental studies, history and, philosophy.
In his free time, Quinn enjoys boating, fishing, sailing, gardening, fishing, hunting and hiking...and anything his 7-year old little girl wants to do. Quinn currently works in conservation and develops water markets and water transactions to restore and protect environmental flows of water in our rivers and to our bays and estuaries.
